As I lay in my home with food, water and electricity I think about those in Gaza who are not able to do and have the same. My FYP on TikTok has been nothing but news of the genocide happening in Palestine and yes it is weighing on my mental health and im hoping something happy will come up as a scroll. To hope for something else is a privilege that they do not have right now.
It may be exhausting and mentally straining to watch through the safety of distance and technology but it’s beyond imaginable to have to wake up and live it every second of your day and night. To be able to look away is a privilege. Water, food and proper medical care are basic human rights. I will not stop speaking about this until Palestine is Free. We cannot stop speaking about Palestine.
Palestine - What you need to know
I’m not one to talk about politics but over the years I have gained a large following and feel as though I need to start using my platform on this app for things worth talking about. I feel as though as an Arab myself I have failed the men, women, and children of Gaza because I have not used my voice to speak about the oppression happening in front of our eyes. My parents taught me to stand for what’s right even if it means I stand alone. For the first time since mankind stepped foot on this earth, we are watching history in real time as it happens.
There is a difference between war and genocide. Palestine is still fighting despite the horrific tragedies they are facing and we as creators and citizens of any country can still take part in bringing education and awareness to the genocide, not situation; call it what it is GENOCIDE. Linked below are videos, originations and other content creators that can give and are giving ways to help those in Palestine. This is a good way to understand just how far back this genocide has goes. If you are unsure of what to do or exactly what is happening and why it’s wrong please use the links below. There are also videos and resources if you are looking to boycott brands who support Isrrael. You do not have to be Muslim or Arab to stand with those facing injustice. I do not care if I lose followers, from river to sea Palestine will be free. To stand with Palestine is to stand with Humanity. We must keep talking about this.
